Expro Excellence
Subsea Well Access
In deepwater down under
Customer challenges
  • The customer approached Expro due to the success we had working together on previous projects
  • The customer's challenge was to complete deepwater subsea access wells across two different projects consecutively utilizing the same rig and Subsea Landing String Assembly (SSLSA)
  • This created a unique challenge for Expro as this meant the Subsea Landing String Assembly had to be configured as efficiently as possible to operate on two different Tree vendor Tubing Hanging Running Tools (THRT)
Expro Excellence
  • The scope of the project was for two, 73/8” Electro Hydraulic (EH) systems for two new completions
  • The main challenge for Expro was to configure an efficient Riser Control Module (RCM) which needed to be configured for both THRT vendors
  • Expro also provided a third Lower Landing String Assembly (LLSA) to ensure one system was already configured and ready for the project on completion of preceding well
Value to client
  • Having the system configured to suit both THRT control requirements with minimum changes required saved the customer significant time and cost savings
  • The customer completed the scope of work without demobilizing equipment from location and was able to carry out the scope of the project seamlessly
  • 100% uptime for both wells
  •  Safety was our priority in delivering equipment and carrying out the customer’s workscope
  •  Excellent team leadership with all the team contributing to a successful job

"Excellent all-round team performance, first class approach and support in the campaign. Many thanks to the entire offshore Expro crews.”
